About: Bob Shiring

Bob Shiring has been working in the energy business for over 30 years, including more than 20 years as an energy trader. Mr. Shiring is expert at advising commercial, industrial and institutional clients on energy procurement, demand response, risk management, hedging, contract negotiation and price movement based upon extensive macro and micro fundamental and technical research. Mr. Shiring’s account experience covers commercial real estate, education, oil & gas production, health care, food service, religious centers and entertainment for clients across many diverse markets throughout the U.S. Early in his energy career, he built a national energy trading firm from a one man office to an organization of 25 staff trading and marketing natural gas and electricity throughout the U.S. His tenure includes Desk Head for Enron’s Natural Gas Trading Group and Director of Natural Gas Trading of Pan Canadian’s Northeast and Mid-Continent business units. Mr. Shiring holds a BS in Engineering from Texas A&M University.
