Tradition Houston and Stamford team members donate their time to help repair homes destroyed by Hurricane Harvey.
October 24, 2017, Stamford, CT – Tradition Energy Stamford and Houston team members recently donated two days of their time to help repair homes that were destroyed by Hurricane Harvey. Working with All Hands Volunteers (www.hands.org), a non-profit organization that addresses the immediate and long-term needs of communities impacted by natural disasters, Tradition Energy volunteers sanitized flooded areas and prepared homes for reconstruction.
Over the coming weeks, Tradition will continue to contribute its most valuable resource, employee time, along with company funds to ensure the greatest benefit to the local charities, groups and individuals impacted. Overall, Tradition is donating a substantial amount to several organizations to provide relief from Harvey and support victims of other major hurricanes.
Tradition Houston team members were fortunate in being spared serious damage or loss from Hurricane Harvey. However, family, friends, neighbors and business associates have not been as lucky. “As all of us from the New York metropolitan area know from our experience with Hurricane Sandy five years ago, it will take many years to rebuild from Harvey’s impact, said Alan Kurzer, CEO, Tradition Energy. “Houstonians will continue to need the help well in to the future — and it is our intention, both as Tradition and our Houston office, to help people directly.”
