Stamford, Connecticut, July 17, 2018 – Tradition Energy is excited to announce its sponsorship of PGA Tour Pro Joel Dahmen.
This past weekend, Dahmen turned in his best finish ever in two years on the PGA Tour by tying for 2nd place at the John Deere Classic, in Silvis, Illinois. The prior week, Dahmen achieved his first top 10 finish with a tie for fifth at the Greenbrier Classic.
Joel played golf for the University of Washington, and after turning pro in 2010 and playing on the Canadian Tour, he was sidelined with testicular cancer. Refusing to let cancer control his life, he began the long road to the PGA through the PGA Tour Canada, PGA Tour Latinoamérica and then the Web.com Tour. In 2016, after placing in the top 25 on the Web.com Tour, he earned his PGA Tour card for the 2017 season.
“Joel is an extraordinary athlete who has overcome enormous obstacles to achieve his current level of performance,” said Alan Kurzer, CEO, Tradition Energy. “He’s a true competitor and a great inspiration to all who know him. We are looking forward to partnering with him for a long time to both help support his career to the next level and most importantly, work with Joel to help people suffering from cancer so that they too can achieve their dreams.”
“This sponsorship means so much to me,” commented Dahmen. “The people at Tradition Energy and many others who have helped me with my journey are the reason I am where I am today. I expect to make everyone proud to be a part of the Joel Dahmen team.”
