Stamford, Connecticut, June 9, 2021 – Tradition Energy announces it has helped Arkansas State University (ASU) eliminate natural gas price increases for the next 5 years.
The University learned that through their OMNIA Partners, Public Sector participation, and Tradition Energy, multiple natural gas suppliers would compete for their business. OMNIA Partners, Public Sector is the nation’s largest and most experienced cooperative purchasing organization dedicated to public sector procurement. Tradition is the exclusive Energy Consulting and Management Supplier to OMNIA Public Sector participants.
Historically, ASU had renewed its natural gas agreement with the same supplier, which resulted in no competition among regional suppliers for the school’s business. Therefore, the University was not seeing the most favorable rates or terms from the supplier marketplace.
As a result of the competitive procurement process involving all suppliers, ASU achieved a competitive natural gas rate that prevents their budget from increasing for the next 5 years. Additionally, Tradition negotiated a payment plan for an outstanding natural gas bill that saved the University $10,000.
