Zach joined Tradition Energy in 2017 shortly after graduating from Auburn University with degrees in Economics and Finance. He began his career as an Operations Associate and has steadily advanced through the organization, gaining experience across Client Services, Data Management, Pricing & Sourcing, Pricing System User Interface, and Energy Market Research before becoming a Senior Analyst. Along the way, Zach has developed an unusually broad perspective on Tradition’s business. He began by supporting post-contract execution and later led data management for early versions of TEAMView. After transitioning to the Pricing Desk in 2019, he gained experience sourcing and pricing electricity, natural gas, renewable energy products, and other energy solutions while developing particular expertise in the ERCOT market. Today, Zach helps maintain relationships with TFS and other market partners while keeping Tradition’s advisors and leadership informed of regulatory developments and material market changes. He has also contributed ideas to the continued development of Tradition’s TEPS pricing platform. His progression from an entry-level position to a senior role reflects both the expertise he has developed and the opportunity employees have to explore different areas of Tradition as their careers evolve. “I’ve had the opportunity to work in various areas of Tradition, and each role has helped me develop a broader understanding of the energy markets and our business.”

Meredith’s career at Tradition Energy began as an intern during her senior year at Boston College. After graduating, she joined the company full time and has steadily advanced through the organization, developing her expertise while taking on increasing responsibility for clients and within the firm. Along the way, Meredith has benefited from strong mentors who helped guide her development at each stage of her career. She has worked with organizations across the Northeast, gaining exposure to diverse industries, energy markets, and client challenges that have continually expanded her knowledge and experience. Her accomplishments include becoming the first woman in Tradition Energy history to earn a place in the company’s Champion’s Club—an achievement that reflects both her individual success and the career she has built since joining the organization as an intern. “I had established excellent mentors who I knew would guide me through each stage of my career.” Outside of work, Meredith enjoys traveling and has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. During a trip to Thailand, she also adopted Walter, a dog she met while volunteering at an animal shelter.

Julia’s career at Tradition Energy began while she was a student at Marist College, where she studied Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. After graduating, she continued her career with Tradition and has progressed through multiple roles, building her knowledge of the energy industry and developing into her current position as Manager, Data Management Services. Along the way, Julia has gained experience working across different areas of the business, giving her exposure to the many elements that go into supporting clients and managing their energy strategies. That experience has allowed her to continually expand her knowledge while taking on greater responsibility within the organization. Her progression reflects the opportunity at Tradition to begin building a career early, learn from experienced colleagues, and grow into increasingly important client-facing responsibilities. “Tradition has given me the opportunity to continually learn, take on new challenges, and grow my career alongside people who have supported my development.”

Ben joined Tradition Energy after graduating from Cornell University with a degree in Environment and Sustainability. Since joining the company, he has built his career within Market Research, developing his understanding of energy markets while contributing to the analysis and insights that help inform Tradition’s client strategies. Along the way, Ben has had the opportunity to work alongside experienced energy-market professionals, gaining exposure to the economic, regulatory, weather and supply-and-demand factors that continually reshape the markets. His role has allowed him to turn an academic interest in energy and sustainability into practical market expertise. Ben has also continued to expand his capabilities beyond his core responsibilities. Most recently, he completed an AI for Business and Finance certificate program through Columbia Business School Executive Education and Wall Street Prep, exploring how artificial intelligence, forecasting and predictive modeling can be applied to real-world business challenges. “Working alongside people with decades of market experience has given me the opportunity to continually learn, challenge my thinking and develop expertise early in my career.”

Vivienne joined Tradition Energy after building experience across business development, sales, and client-facing roles. Since joining the company, she has continued to expand her expertise in the energy industry, combining her ability to build strong client relationships with a growing understanding of energy markets, procurement, and strategy. Along the way, Vivienne has become particularly interested in helping organizations look beyond energy as simply an operating expense and understand how smarter procurement decisions can support broader financial and operational objectives. She has also shared that perspective through her writing on topics ranging from energy procurement strategy to understanding demand charges. Her commitment to continued development extends beyond her role at Tradition. Vivienne is currently pursuing an Energy MBA at Texas Christian University’s Neeley School of Business, concentrating on energy finance, data analytics, and business technology—allowing her to deepen her industry expertise while continuing to build her career. “Tradition has given me the opportunity to continue developing as an energy professional while helping clients better understand how energy decisions can impact their broader business.”

Ashley joined Tradition Energy as a Client Service Intern during her senior year at the University of Connecticut. After graduating with a focus on economics and business, she joined the company full-time on the Account Management team. Since then, she has expanded her industry expertise while gaining hands-on experience supporting the work Tradition does for its clients. In her role, Ashley navigates complex energy markets, manages diverse client needs, and collaborates across Tradition to deliver successful outcomes. Along the way, she has had the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues and build expertise that extends well beyond what can be learned in the classroom. Her experience highlights Tradition’s commitment to empowering early-career professionals by continually expanding their knowledge and responsibilities. The combination of real-world experience, exposure to different aspects of the business, and support from colleagues has provided a strong foundation for her continued growth. “Tradition has given me the opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues, take on new challenges, and continue to build my knowledge of the energy industry.” Outside of work, Ashley serves as Treasurer for the Junior League of Stamford-Norwalk, volunteers with local nonprofits, and loves discovering new books!

David’s career in energy markets began over two decades ago, with experience in operations, real-time power trading, and natural gas scheduling at RBS Sempra Energy Trading Corp. During his last 11 years at Tradition Energy he steadily advanced through the organization, developing leadership and deep industry knowledge while taking on increasing responsibility for clients and within the firm. David expanded his understanding of managing successful long-term client relationships leading Tradition’s Account Management desk, tasked with coordinating procurement, supplier relationships, contract administration, reporting, and ongoing client support many of Tradition’s highest-profile clients. He credits much of this progression to the colleagues and teammates who’ve shaped his approach along the way, and his leadership style continues to reflect that collaborative foundation. Today, as Associate Director of the Pricing Desk, David is the day-to-day head of Tradition’s Northeast Pricing desk. His progression reflects the opportunity to build a long-term career at Tradition while continuing to expand both his expertise and his leadership responsibility. Outside of work, David, is a happy and active father of two sons and a pug. Additionally, a U.S. Air Force veteran, he supports various veteran-based causes.

Sarah joined Tradition Energy in 2018 after beginning her career in college admissions at Trinity College. Starting as an Associate, she has steadily advanced through the organization, taking on increasingly important roles in National Account Services and Account Management before becoming a Senior Account Manager. Now, as a Manager, she is directly involved in day-to-day desk management and developing her team members. Along the way, Sarah has developed deep experience supporting clients and managing the many details that go into successful energy strategies. Her progression has given her the opportunity to build strong client relationships while expanding her knowledge of energy markets, procurement, supplier management, and the business’s operational side. Her growth at Tradition has also been complemented by a continued commitment to professional development. In addition to earning her master’s degree from Trinity College, Sarah completed a Leadership Principles certificate through Harvard Business School Online—building on the skills she has developed as her responsibilities at Tradition have grown. “Tradition has given me the opportunity to continually take on new challenges, expand my knowledge, and grow into a role where I can make a meaningful difference for our clients.” Outside of work, Sarah has remained actively involved in her community through the Junior League of Stamford-Norwalk, where she has held various board-level leadership roles and currently serves as the New Member Director.
